West Hempstead Cars Vandalized in Overnight Spree

West Hempstead is the third town where cars have been damaged in the last week.

Six cars had their windshields or windows broken Thursday night in West Hemsptead.

According to Nassau County detectives, between Thursday at 6 p.m. and Friday at 10 a.m., six different cars on five different blocks had either their windshield or window smashed.

The cars were as follows:

  • The rear windshield of a 2006 Honda was broken while parked on Park Avenue.
  • A 2010 Dodge had its rear window broken and a drill and drill bits removed on Arden Boulevard.
  • On Wilson Street, a 2005 Audi had its windshield broken.
  • The rear windshield of a 2009 Nissan was broken on Maple Street.
  • A 2007 Nissan on Jackson Avenue had its window broken.
  • The windshield of a 2006 Hyundai was broken while parked on Arden Boulevard.

According to police, the investigation is still ongoing and there is no word on whether or not this rash of damage is related to a recent in which 20 cars were damaged or a in which six cars were damaged.
