Six people suffered minor injuries and had to be transported to area hospitals Thursday after they were involved in a three-car crash on Spruce Street in West Hempstead.
The accident occurred late Thursday afternoon. The impact of the collision forced one of the vehicles onto the sidewalk and trapped the driver inside. West Hempstead Fire Department firefighters and EMS personnel were on the scene along with Nassau County EMS and police. Police were on the scene interviewing witnesses to determine exactly what occurred.
