The OK service station, located at 151 Hempstead Ave., had to be shut down early Tuesday morning after a contractor's truck lost control and ran over some vent pipes that service the fuel pumps.
The truck also smashed into a parked car, which sent metal pipes through the windows.
West Hempstead firefighters along with Nassau County Police and Fire Marshals were on the scene to secure the area.
The station was to reopen later in the day after the damage was corrected.
