West Hempstead Home Burglarized While Owner Slept
Two computers stolen from Jackson Avenue house.
A West Hempstead woman awoke Thursday morning to discover that her home had been burglarized while she was sleeping.
Nassau County Police's Fourth Squad is investigating the occupied burglary that occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 10 inside a home on Jackson Avenue.
According to detectives, unknown suspects entered the home through an unlocked rear window. When the 68-year-old female victim awoke, she noticed that the window screen in her den was removed and two laptop computers were missing.
