West Hempstead Man Arrested, Charged With Promoting Child Porn
Thomas Ball charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance of a Child.
A West Hempstead man was arrested at his home Thursday morning and charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance of a Child, according to Nassau County Police.
The Computer Crimes Section of the Crimes Against Property Squad reported that between June 16, 2010 and Sept. 16, 2010, Thomas Ball, 56, allegedly manufactured and distributed "a known and identified child pornography image to numerous people" through e-mail.
The squad's detectives arrested Ball on Jan. 13 at 8:15 a.m. at his residence. He is being charged with 13 counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance of a Child and 13 counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child. Ball was transported to a local hospital suffering from anxiety, where will be arraigned bedside today.
