Anyone who believes a 59 year old man beloved and admired by his family, friends and the entire community was texting and driving is a complete idiot.

Must have been a very important message for someone to break the law!!! The only good part of this accident/story is NO innocent people were hurt or killer by the stupidity of one driver. Without seeing any photos of the accident scene, I can only imagine the speed the vehicle was traveling when it impacted the tree causing the operator to die.

Actually for the person calling people idiots for believing he was texting. No they aren't idiots the article says just that okay and you'd be surprised how many people around his age know how to text these days with all those smartphones out, ... Somebody taught him how to do so, obviously because the article says that's what he did.... And yes somebody at 59 no matter how much they are loved can make mistakes. So your namecalling is unnecessary okay. Thank you

All do dangerous things. Just drove a 475 horsepower Corvette 120 mph at a small aircraft complex in Florida. Then at the NASA Space Museum, saw where the Space Shuttle crews were at 17,800 mph with missing tiles from launch. We all know two Space Shuttles never returned. Yeah, trees don't move when they're hit. Drive carefully.
