Workers Fall From Construction Site in West Hempstead
Two injured while working on Hempstead Avenue apartment complex, the former Courtesy Hotel site.
Two workers fell from a scaffold early Wednesday morning at the West 130 construction site in West Hempstead.
The two men were working three floors up in the rear of the new apartment complex (formerly known as the Alexan) that is being constructed on Hempstead Avenue, the site of the old Courtesy Hotel.
The men fell approximately 25 feet to the ground and were both injured.
Details of what happened were not immediately known. They were transported to Winthrop Hospital in Mineola.
