Adoptable Animal of the Week: Meet Clover

This smart pup is ready to find its forever home!

Name: Clover

Case Number: #5666

Hello folks! My name is Clover. I'm currently staying with a foster family in the area, because I'm shy and the other loud puppies at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter scared me. However, I'm hoping to find my forever home soon!

In the short week, I've been with my foster family, I've really come around to realizing that people are pretty cool. I'm a pretty laid back youngster and enjoy chilling on the couch with my foster Mom mostly, but I also like when my foster brother and his friends show me some love as well.

Last night, my foster Dad taught me how to sit on command and I showed Mom this morning during our walk! (Yea, I'm pretty smart too. Kinda cool, don't you think?)

If you think you might like to meet me, contact the shelter and tell them I'm Clover (#5666). I'm still a little shy, so I'm thinking I may be ready to go to my new home in a week or two. Hope to meet you soon!

If you are interested in adopting Clover, contact the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter at (516) 785-5220 or come in for a visit. The shelter is located at 3320 Beltagh Avenue in Wantagh. Adoption hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive all required innoculations and will be microchipped, all free of charge.

From June 20 to Sept 20, the shelter is running its "Summer of Love" promotion, which means all adoptions are free!
