If “every dog has its day,” a pit bull’s moment in the spotlight will surely be Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Hempstead Town Animal Shelter when an entire event is being dedicated to pit bull awareness and adoption for the shelter’s third annual “Bully Breed Brigade.” The town is partnering with Last Hope Animal Shelter, Rock N’ Rawhide and event sponsor News 12 on the “Bully Breed Brigade,” during which all pet adoption fees are being waived and a host of fun activities being held.
