CONCERNED RESIDENT •Do you want to be part of a powerful community organization that gets things done?

Long Island is experiencing an escaclation of baby boomers who are aging and who are looking for ways to age in place – in their own homes.

Unfortunately there are many more seniors that need home health care and Long Island's current infrastructure can't handle that demand.

On March 25, 2012, at 4:15 p.m., in Westbury, LI-CAN will announce a groundbreaking program in exclusive partnership with Partners in Care and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, and the Town of North Hempstead to create a pilot program designed to ultimately improve the delivery of home health care for Long Island Seniors.  The program will provide a better job market and subsidized transportation for home health aides.

Join LICAN at this Community Meeting to let your voice be heard.

LI-CAN (Long Island Congregations, Associations and Neighborhoods) is comprised of Long Island synagogues, churches and a mosque, social service agencies, and organizations of people in recovery.  LI-CAN is an affiliate of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF).
