Horan Appointed to $98K Position with Hempstead Town

Pat Horan is now the town's engineering helper.

Pat Horan, the former director of the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter, has been appointed to a new position within the town.

The town confirmed Friday with Patch that Horan's new title is engineering helper and her salary will be $97,959.

Horan was reassigned to the Department of General Services in March of 2011 after a nearly 20-year-old YouTube video surfaced depicting employees making obscene gestures, handling a kitten and saying “kill the kitty."
