Lynbrook Celebrates Holidays with Annual Lighting [Photos]

Village holds annual Winter Celebration Sunday along Atlantic Avenue.

Residents crowded Atlantic Avenue Sunday to attend the Lynbrook's annual Winter Celebration. The eventful evening included pictures with Santa Claus and a snowman, a reenactment of the holiday classic "The Nutcracker," and of course. the lighting of the village's Christmas tree.

“Now is the time that we help people in need,” stated Lynbrook Deputy Mayor Alan Beach. He explained that Lynbrook residents are always willing to help their fellow citizens, especially in the aftermath of Sandy.

After the tree was officially lit, Mayor William Hendrick led residents and guests in the annual Jingle Bells sing-a-long.
