Lynbrook Resident Honored by Town Supervisor
Lynbrook's Gary Astrow volunteered with the town's income tax assistance program earlier this year.
Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray (left) presented an official Town of Hempstead Certificate of Recognition to Gary Astrow of Lynbrook last week at a luncheon event for all VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) volunteers to thank them for their participation in the program.
IRS representatives and Hempstead Town's Department of Senior Enrichment train VITA volunteers to help prepare income tax returns for senior residents, free of charge.
