Lynbrook Village Board Agenda: Aug. 13

See what village officials will be discussing at tonight's meeting.

The Lynbrook village Board of Trustees will be holding its monthly business meeting for August tonight at 7 p.m.

The board will first consider a request from the Malverne Educational and Fitness Foundation regarding its Oct. 14 5K run/walk, which in the past has included part of N. Lynbrook in its route. (At a Malverne school board meeting in June, a representative for the organization said that for the first time, the Lynbrook Village Police were looking to charge a substantial fee to the non-profit to block off the streets for the run, which benefits students in the Malverne school district.)

The agenda also includes a motion to amend the village's vehicle-use policy. The board will consider a continuing special use permit for the T-Mobile store located at 303 Merrick Road, and award a bid to replace one of the fire department's pumpers.
