Lynbrook Village Board Agenda: Dec. 3

See what topics the Lynbrook village board will be tackling at tonight's meetings.

The Lynbrook village board will be holding a work session and business meeting tonight, Dec. 3, to discuss a range of issues including commuter parking permits, the Regal movie theatre, Hurricane Sandy and the Feather Factory.
During the work session, which will commence at 7 p.m., village officials will consider a request from the Ladder Truck Committee, and hold public hearings on sidewalk assessments, negotiations with the police dispatchers union, and three proposed laws. The proposed laws address bamboo, commuter parking permit eligibility and defining "retail."
The board will also be voting to ratify a resolution pertaining to Hurricane Sandy. Also, on the agenda for the work session is the Regal movie theatre and repairs for Village Hall.
The highlight of the public meeting, which starts at 8 p.m., will be a report on the findings of an eminent domain study conducted on 47 Broadway, part of the old Mangrove Feather Factory.
The public meeting will also include a report from the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce, a presentation from the Malverne Education and Fitness Foundation regarding its recent 5K, and a request from the Lynbrook Fire Department.

That’s very nice that school districts that have the highest school taxes and costs, areRead More receiving additional money. The problem is that our state is in dire financial trouble and we can’t afford it. Upstate NY is a distressed disaster. How much more taxes are we going to pay?. Hear those feet marching out of state. Try fighting for drilling so we have jobs and revenue.

.......there they go again whitewashing a dilemma they don't want to touch......unconscionableRead More salaries and pensions paid by the taxpayer for incompetence? Not to mention 13 week vacations as well as numerous 1/2 days and weather shortened days. A $50000 band aid we end up paying indirectly anyway only increases taxes further down the road. They are either that stupid or they think we are!
