Lynbrook Village Board Agenda: Feb. 4

See what topics village officials will be tackling at tonight's meetings.

The Lynbrook Village Board of Trustees will meet this Monday night, Feb. 4, to discuss a range of issues.

Village officials will convene at 6:45 p.m., but enter into executive session until 7:45 p.m. The agenda for the board's work session includes the Health and Wellness Committee, transfer of funds/police accreditation, the GRT audit and fees for police accident reports. There will also be four public hearings concerning sidewalk assessments, a subdivsion at 173 Earle Ave., appearance tickets and a policy regarding streets and sidewalks.

During the work session, the board will also be voting on authorizing a grant for a restroom at Greis Park and for streetscape on Merrick Road. The agenda also lists 35 Wildbur St. but does not indicate why the board will be discussing this property.

Starting at 8 p.m., village officials will move into the courtroom and on air as Boy Scout Government Night begins. The meeting will include reports from each of the village's departments, Our Lady of Peace, and the Chamber of Commerce. A proclamation will also be presented to Anthony Ferrara for his retirement.

The board will vote on three requests -- one to waive fees for the Gulotta Lodge, another for this year's Fly with the Owls run (set for Nov. 16), and to reschedule Per Sempre Lodge's flea market to Aug. 24 and 25. Also on the agenda is a parking waiver for Kingdom Ministries and a request to use a fire department vehicle on Feb. 9 and March 3.
