Lynbrook Village Board Agenda: Oct. 1

See what's on the agenda for tonight's meeting and work session.

The Lynbrook village board will meet at 7 p.m. tonight for a work session followed by its October regular business meeting at 8 p.m.

During the work session, village officials plan to revist the Sons of Italy's request to hold a holiday flea market in the village this November and December. They'll also consider a request for a demolition permit for three properties -- 3 and 9 Merton Ave. and 417 Ocean Ave. -- which are homes currently owned by the Holiday Inn Express.* Also, on the agenda is a public hearing on a proposal local law pertaining to building heights, the sale of a fire pumper and two contracts with the Department of Public Works.

Three proclamations, including a tribute to the late Lynbrook Schools Chief Dr. Santo Barbarino, will be handed out during the 8 p.m. business meeting. The board will also make a decision on a special use permit for 140 Merrick Road and handle four other requests.
