Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano recently honored Eric Hesselbach of West Hempstead and Timothy O’Connor of Lynbrook for earning the ranks of Eagle Scouts, the highest attainable rank in the Boy Scouts.
The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”
Hellesbach and O'Connor were joined by Jay Garee (Scout Executive, Massapequa), Sal Ciampo (Council President, Bethpage) and Eric Anderson (Council Commissioner, Melville).
