OBIT: Malverne Mourns Loss of Dennis Giordano, 67

Former Little League president and zoning board official suffers fatal heart attack.

Dennis Giordano, a long-time Malverne resident who was very active in the community, passed away Sunday morning from a sudden heart attack. He was 67.

The Brooklyn-born Giordano made his home in Malverne, where he raised his family, and served as president of the Malverne Little League and head of the village's zoning board. He is survived by his wife, Lois, and his five children -- Brendan, Shannon, Kevin, Bridget and Casey.

A wake will be held at Flinch and Bruns Funeral Home (34 Hempstead Ave., Lynbrook) on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
