PHOTOS: Presidential Debate Day in Full Swing at Hofstra

The center of the political universe shifts to Long Island for the second presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

While Monday's pre-game for the second 2012 presidential debate put host Hofstra University in a frenzy, that was nothing compared to Tuesday, when media, students, visitors and a very robust security force turned the college on its head for the occasion.

See our gallery above for photos from the site, and if you were on scene and took your own photos, add them above.

Check back frequently, as we will be updating this gallery all day from Hofstra.

i don't like this town hall meeting business... its all designed to upset Mitt by a bunch of rabid lefty kooks...

If you want to be President you have to jump into the hornets nest and stand your ground. Romney wont win NY but at least it'll show everyone that he's not afraid of the left. Would Obama do this? Probably not.

Town Hall meetings have been going on since the Quakers & the Puritans. Yet, Christie seems to have a problem with people voicing their opinion? Sure! According to Christie, everybody is entitled to her opinion. If it were up to her, we'd have a Beer Hall Putsch instead!
Gone October 16, 2012 at 05:37 pm
I think Christie is just concerned the debate will not be fair and balanced.

It doesn't matter if a lib, an R, a D, or whomever asks the questions about what has been accomplished in the last 4 years, or what 'the plan' is for a better future, or how will the country come together and recover.......it will become clear again the chosen one will still reply "ummm, well look, a duh, hmm, bush did it, 47%" Still no supstance and merly the political magician and his great deception (and our disappointment as a nation) . We've seen this movie in rerun now for 4 years. Oblama - he done! You'll just be watching the fork go in a few more times tonight by Chef Romney. ;-)

Mittens will have a fair and balanced opportunity to keep lying. And he will.
Preliator October 16, 2012 at 06:11 pm
Four diplomats died and Obama lied.
Nassau Taxpayer October 16, 2012 at 06:18 pm
Mittens evades taxes all over the world, Eddie Muster lied his way through the last debate when he was willing to offer any details at all, and he forced a photo-op washing already clean pots.
Yeah, your boys are REAL PROS.

Why is there no mention of Sect'y of State Hillary Clinton's claiming that it was HER fault for the Syrian debacle. Is she the President of the United States all of a sudden. Is she alone responsible for National Security issues? If President Obama hadn't missed 40% of the White House Secutity briefings maybe our Ambassador and three other Americans might still be alive today. How about this all you Dems out there? Does the buck stop at the White House? Talk about untruths being spoken out there. The Syrian one is a travesty upon all of us. No leadership in Washington White House, no foreign policy, but plenty of golf. Enough America! Time for a new leadership for this Great Nation. Romney is the better choice for all of our futures.

That’s very nice that school districts that have the highest school taxes and costs, areRead More receiving additional money. The problem is that our state is in dire financial trouble and we can’t afford it. Upstate NY is a distressed disaster. How much more taxes are we going to pay?. Hear those feet marching out of state. Try fighting for drilling so we have jobs and revenue.

.......there they go again whitewashing a dilemma they don't want to touch......unconscionableRead More salaries and pensions paid by the taxpayer for incompetence? Not to mention 13 week vacations as well as numerous 1/2 days and weather shortened days. A $50000 band aid we end up paying indirectly anyway only increases taxes further down the road. They are either that stupid or they think we are!
