When Nassau Land Trust outlined its vision for the farm in Malverne that Nassau County hired them to manage, they had more than just produce in mind.

They imagined a place where the community could gather to strengthen its bonds and embrace local farming. On Sunday, that became a reality as residents, volunteers and visitors came together for an evening of activities. They took a tour of the farm, sat down for a healthy potluck dinner and then discussed issues regarding sustaining agriculture in the area.
