94 Lynbrook Students Qualify for All-County Music Festival

The students will perform at the festival on the weekends of Jan. 7 and 14; total number breaks record.

A record total of 94 Lynbrook Public School students in grades 4 through 12 qualified to perform in the New York State School Music Association’s All-County Festival on the weekends of Jan. 7 and 14.

The students will join a select group of musicians from all over Nassau County for a gala concert series at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, featuring select chorus, orchestra, band and jazz band performances. Hundreds of students auditioned for this honor at the NYSSMA Solo Evaluation Festivals held last spring.

“We are extremely proud that so many of our dedicated young musicians once again qualified for this great honor,” said Joseph Pallotta, Director of Fine and Performing Arts. “It is a great opportunity for them to collaborate with other young musicians in a professional concert venue.”
