Davison Avenue School Honors Veterans

Third-grade students at Davison Avenue Intermediate School in the Malverne School District honored local veterans with a special choral presentation and ceremony on Nov. 8. 

Under the direction of music teacher Deanna Vitola, students sang a medley of patriotic favorites, including “Sing a Song of Peace,” “This Is My Country” and “God Bless the USA.”

“We started our annual Veterans Day celebration 19 years ago,” Davison Avenue Principal Edward Tallon said in his introduction. “It has always been a highlight on the calendar each year, and today, through their singing, our students help us to reflect on our veterans’ service to the nation.”
