Huntington helps students score higher on important college entrance and scholarship exams like the SAT, ACT, and PSAT, as well as high school entrance exams...

Before you can start preparing for any test the most important question to ask is where do I need help and where do I need to improve in order to increase my score? In order to get this information we give all of our students a full length SAT or ACT test and break it down into a 13-page analysis to pinpoint strenths and weaknesses to come up with an individualized plan to get the maximum score increase possible.

Normally this evaluation is $195 and includes the evaluation, a breakdown of your score, and a meeting with a director to go over the results.

What is the SAT? What is the ACT?

The SAT Reasoning Test, commonly known as the SAT, is a nationally administered, standardized exam designed to measure specific math and English language arts skills. SAT was formerly an acronym for Scholastic Aptitude Test, but that acronym is not in use today. The SAT is a paper-and-pencil test. Students typically take the SAT in the spring of 11th grade and again in the fall of 12th grade. The SAT is designed by the College Board and administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS). The current format of the SAT was first administered in March 2005.

No one does ACT Prep better than Huntington. Helping your college-bound son or daughter achieve high marks on the ACT will improve his or her chances for acceptance or for a potential scholarship to the college of his or her choice. With an in-depth knowledge of the ACT, our tutors are experts at helping students master the information and skills needed to improve their scores.

While the ACT and SAT/PSAT overlap in terms of content, they require very different strategies for success. For the ACT, students must sharpen their reading and trigonometry skills. The path to success for the ACT is built on a comprehensive knowledge of high school core curriculum, including basic science. Focusing on these avenues allows us to help our students in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Finding the right exam for a student’s individual strengths is an important first step in preparing for college entrance.
