Tail Waggin' Tutors: Reading to Dogs

This workshop provides children in grades K-4 the chance to read to certified and trained therapy dogs.  While reading aloud can often be stressful for children, when they read to non-judgmental dogs they tend to be more relaxed and open to the process of reading.  Each child reads one-on-one to a dog during a 20-minute session, while the dog's handler sits with the dog. Registration begins Monday, November 1st for Malverne library cardholders and Wednesday, November 10th for non-cardholders.
