Herber Middle School Hosts Annual Talent Show

Malverne tradition that dates back more than 20 years.

The following story was written by Danielle Lambert:

Students of Howard T. Herber Middle School in Malverne took the stage for the school’s annual talent show at the end of April.

The show, directed by teacher Matt Rosen, is a true Malverne tradition that dates back more than 20 years.

This year’s show featured 22 acts, including vocal soloists and duets, dance groups and solo dance performers.

The audience filled the auditorium and enthusiastically supported all the students.

Similar to “The Voice,” “The X Factor” and “American Idol,” the performers were required to audition before faculty and student judges. More than 65 acts auditioned this year.

A number of acts also performed at the Malverne Relay for Life earlier in May.
