Lynbrook Fifth Grader Wins Technology Poster Contest

All fifth graders at Marion Street elementary participated in the contest.

Isljam Purisic, a fifth grader at Lynbrook’s Marion Street School, was recently named the winner of the Netsmartz “Bad Netiquette Stinks” national poster contest.

After several lessons and discussions about online manners and Internet safety, all Marion Street fifth graders created posters for the contest, depicting good netiquette versus bad netiquette.

Students worked under the direction of school media specialist Randee Busch. This contest was sponsored by Netsmartz.org, an online safety education program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
