The students will join their fellow members in upholding these principles by contributing their time and talents to better their school and local community through volunteer activities, civic involvement and adherence to the highest standards of morality and ethics.

New members were inducted and current members were recognized for their continued service as leaders of their community. NHS officers Christine Randazzo, Kayla Vasiliakis, Maggie Rouder and Alyssa Glanzer officiated over the induction of new members.

“Now the time has come to put our faith into the new inductees and returning members, and pass the torch onto them,” said President Christine Randazzo. “But, know this, no matter which university we attend, or major we declare, we will always be guided by the principles of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship."

Seniors Glanzer, Ilana Ajzenman and Tim Keegan were nominated to the National Chapter, making them eligible for scholarships that will be awarded at the end of the school year. Honorary awards were given to science teacher Robert DeStefano and Assistant Principal Angelo Mancuso in recognition of their many years of service to the school. The recognition was especially meaningful as both honorees are retiring at the end of the school year.

The Brass Ensemble provided a regal accompaniment for the entrance and recession of inductees. Those in attendance gathered at the end of the evening for a celebratory reception.
