Lynbrook HS Newspaper Staff Wins Big at Quill Awards

Horizon writers wrack up awards at annual Adelphi competition.

The staff of the Lynbrook High School newspaper Horizon received an honorable mention at Adelphi University’s annual Quill Awards competition.

In addition, Editor-in-Chief Erica DeMichiel won first-place honors in the "Most Outstanding Reporter" category.

Photo Editor Skyler Kessler received a first-place award in the "Best Photograph" category.

Managing Editor SoEun Lee earned third place in the "Best Feature Article" category.

This year, approximately 30 schools from across Long Island competed in the Quill Awards, which took place during Adelphi Press Day.

A total of 10 Horizon staff members attended Adelphi Press Day with their adviser, Jessica Sanders.
