Lynbrook School Board Agenda: Dec. 12

See what topics the school board will be tackling at tonight's meeting.

The Lynbrook Board of Education will be holding its monthly business meeting tonight (Dec. 12) in the cafeteria of Lynbrook High School, (9 Union Ave.)

The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. but may entertain a motion to go into executive session at the start of the meeting to discuss matters of personnel. The public session will then resume at approximately 7:30 p.m.

During the public session, the board will be recognizing the recent accomplishments of some students including those who achieved All-State/All-Eastern status and were selected for the Intel competition.

The board will also accept donations from this year's which raised funds for the Dr. Barbarino Memorial Scholarship.

The trustees will be giving reports on recent school events they attended and the annual school law conference. There will also be an update on Strategic Planning, and discussion of Communications and Substance Abuse.

Interim Superintendent Melissa Burak will also report on the district's delayed opening, the fall varsity team honor roll and the turf field logo.
