Lynbrook School Board Agenda: Oct. 10

See what topics the Lynbrook school board will be tackling tonight.

The Lynbrook Board of Education will be holding its October monthly business meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the high school.

The Oct. 10 meeting will include the annual recognition of the school board trustees for their service by students, faculty and principals.

There will also be a presentation on Lynbrook's new teacher evauation system, also known as the Annual Professional Performance Review, which New York State has mandated all districts create. Lynbrook was one of the first districts to submit their completed plans to Albany. Click here for details.

There will also be reports on the audit and policy committees, building inspections and attendance at school. The board will also be voting on its goals for the year.

Interim Superintendent Melissa Burak's monthly report will address Unity Day, an Emergency Evacuation Drill, Saturday's expo at Greis Park, the Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce's upcoming art auction, which supports the PTA Council, a night football game and the New York Education Reform Commission's public hearing.
