Lynbrook School Board Agenda: Sept. 12

The Board of Education of the Lynbrook Union Free School District will hold its September monthly meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of

The board is expected to convene at 6:30 p.m. for an executive session before proceeding to the public business meeting, which will include reports from the trustees on a variety of issues such as building inspections, an update on the acceptable use policy and an adult education program.

The board also plans to continue the discussion of the district's policy on open enrollment for Adanced Placement and Honors classes.

For the first time, Dr. Santo Barbarino, will not be delivering the superintendent's report. Instead, Dr. Melissa Burak, who was , will discuss of the district's schools last week, held Tuesday, the upcoming homecoming/scholarship game and an emergency evacuation drill. Dr. Burak will also give an update on the New York State assessments, the ACT test date at Lynbrook High School and the ongoing work to the district's facilities.

As always, there will be a period for public comment.
