Lynbrook School District Launches New Website, Facebook Page

New sites to help improve communications in district.

In an effort to further improve communications, the Lynbrook School District has launched a new and improved website.

Residents can visit www.lynbrook.k12.ny.us to see the new face of Lynbrook Public Schools.

In the event that the district website is not operational for any reason in the future, an alternate emergency website has also been set up at www.nylearns.org/lynbrookadmin.

Additionally, the district has launched an informational Facebook page. The district is urging residents to visit Lynbrook Public Schools on Facebook and "like" the page for the latest school news.

Please be aware that the page is intended only to provide the community with information regarding the district and not for public posting or dialogue. Any comments posted will be removed from the page.

The work that is being done to enhance communications is a result of efforts of the district’s Strategic Planning Committee, which has been working to enact a five-year plan to establish goals for academic achievement, facilities, communication, guidance programs, social work, staff development and combating substance abuse by students.

The communication subcommittee has created a plan to enhance communication with internal stakeholders, such as parents, students, staff, administrators and the board of education.

Equally important is the mission to expand communications with external stakeholders, such as residents, businesses, civic and religious groups and alumni.
