Several local schools have announced an early release and cancellation of classes Tuesday due to an impending snowstorm.
The Kids Campus Of Lynbrook has announced an early release at 3 p.m., according to News12.
The Lynbrook School District has announced that there will be no afternoon and evening activities, according to the school website:
"Due to the impending snow storm, all after-school and evening activities for today will be cancelled. We will continue to monitor the weather forecast throughout the day. You will receive another notification indicating the status of school tomorrow. Please stay safe."
A snowstorm is expected to slam the Long Island and New York area Tuesday, with up to 14 inches of snow expected in some areas and arctic cold temperatures across the region.
