The theme of the competition this year was “Diversity.” Koby’s winning composition, written for oboe, marimbas and wind chimes, is titled “Diverse Inspiration.”

As a winner at the regional level, Koby will be moving on to the state level of judging, and has been invited by the New York State PTA to attend a reception in April.

The National PTA Reflections Program is one of the largest student arts recognition programs in the nation. Each year, hundreds of thousands of students participate throughout the country. Only the top ten percent of entries make it to the county level.
