Lynbrook Students Chosen to Perform at LISFA Concerts

Twelve Lynbrook Public School orchestra students qualified to perform in the Long Island String Festival Association concerts. These students were recognized by LISFA as representing the highest quality string musicians at their grade levels.

Six students in grades eight through 12 performed at the LISFA secondary concert on Nov. 17. Hannah Chiappisi, Jonathan Cuevas, Gabriel Polinsky and Joshua Tierney represented Lynbrook High School; John Hunter represented Lynbrook North Middle School; and John Krendel represented Lynbrook South Middle School.

An additional six students in grades five through seven have been chosen to perform at the elementary concert on March 2. Ashley Alvarez will be representing North Middle School and Leo Glassman will be representing South Middle School.

 Fifth-graders Ashley Roth from Marion Street School, Shoshana Markowitz and Samantha Shea from Waverly Park School, and Camilla Bahri from West End School will also be performing.
