With family members on hand to cheer them on, fourth and fifth graders at Lynbrook’s West End School demonstrated their athletic ability, teamwork and sportsmanship skills during their annual Field Day activities.
The celebration began with a group fitness routine in which students performed a lively rendition of “Cotton-Eyed Joe.”
Students then broke
up into teams for rotating games of European handball, circle soccer, ultimate
football, lightning basketball and Steal the Bacon. Next came a lively game of
crab soccer, followed by a tug of war.
