Malverne Elementary Students Meet Animals From Tanglewood

Creepy crawlers highlight visit from Tanglewood Science Center specialist.

Kindergarten, first-grade and second-grade students at Maurice W. Downing Primary School in Malverne were treated to a visit by some exotic animals earlier this month.

A representative from the Tanglewood Science Center fascinated students with facts about animals such as lizards, snakes and spiders, which students may not encounter in everyday life.

Animals were also on site for students to safely touch and experience in action. Pictured are some highlights of the visit.
