No. 59: Fly With the Lynbrook Owls

One of 100 things to do in the village.

No. 59 in the Patch series, “,” is to check out the 7th Annual .

Put on those running shoes and make a point to come out and support your , or stop by and cheer on your friends at this four-mile run/walk. The event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 19, at .

There is still time if you would like to be a part of this community event. You can read more and register here, or you can sign up Saturday morning before the event. They are going to have a pre-race Yoga stretch starting at 7:45 a.m.

The four-mile course will take you down streets of Lynbrook. There will be splits and water stops every mile. For the kids 12 years and under, they are also having a half-mile fun run, which you also can sign up for the day of the event.

Should you not be able to attend this fun event, consider making a donation to the cause, which supports our youth and civic programs in the and the.

They are also requesting food donations for a local pantry that they are trying to help this year. Please bring any food donations you have the morning of the event between 6:00 – 8:00 a.m. The collection box will be in the front of the .
