OLP Hosts Night of Fun and Fashion [Photos]

Superstorm Sandy delays but does not stop annual Our Lady of Peace fashion show fundraiser.

Although the Our Lady of Peace Fashion Show had to be rescheduled for a later date due to Hurricane Sandy and last month's snowstorm, it did not stop the fun, fashion and fundraising.

About 200 ladies gathered at the beautifully-decorated Coral House in Baldwin on Nov. 28 for the annual show, and enjoyed a night filled with fun, fashions and laughter.

Guests went home with amazing baskets filled with toys, baking items, restaurant gift cards, lottery tickets and others prizes, which were raffled off throughout the night. There were unbelievable “Special” baskets that included items such as an iPad, tickets to Broadway Shows, gift certificate for AJ Nick Photography, an American Girl Doll and many more. There was also a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds from the night support Our Lady of Peace School.

Many people worked very hard to make the evening a success. The main event of the night was the fabulous Fashion Show, which featured fashions from Femmena Boutique on Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook. The owner, Stephanie Vacchio, was on hand to describe the beautiful outfits the models were wearing. Seven parents and one alumna were the models. Femmena Dress Boutique has beautiful fashions for all sizes at reasonable prices.

It was a wonderful night for all who came!
