Tired of the same old gifts that you find at the mall each holiday season?

Well, many shoppers scooped up creative and unique finds at the St. Thomas the Apostle Holiday Craft Fair last month.

Throughout two rooms in the school, there were toys, scarves, headbands, decorations for the home, handbags, wreaths and even some pet rocks.

And unlike the items you'll find at the big-box stores, most of the products at the fair were handmade, right here in America, some even by local residents like one Garden City South woman who makes beautiful clothing fit for any American Girl doll.

There was also hand-painted glassware, hand-sewn dish towels, hand-crafted jewelry, holiday decorations, ornaments and more. And in addition to checking some people off their Christmas shopping list, parents could also bring their kids to meet Santa and pose for a photo.
