PHOTOS: Families Find Fun at St. Thomas Festival

St. Thomas the Apostle School held its four-day carnival.

They flipped, soared, climbed, slid, spun and even took in the sights of West Hempstead several feet in the air before freefalling to the ground.

It may sound scary to some, but not to the kids who enjoyed the four-day family festival at this weekend.

The bazaar included rides for all ages from the popular train for the little ones to the gut-wrenching Zipper for the older crowd. Plus, even those with a sensitive stomach or fear of heights could play for prizes at one of the many game booths and savor the fried zeppoles, fresh lemonade and other carnival treats.

On Sunday, the Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) at nearby Tanglewood Park and Preserve also stopped by with several exotic animals for the kids to meet.
