PHOTOS: Lourdes Students Bring Easter Story to Life
Eighth grade students at Our Lady of Lourdes in Malverne act out the Stations of the Cross during Holy Week.
Students at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Malverne took on the challenge Wednesday of bringing to life what many say is the "Greatest Story Ever Told."
For the past six weeks, the eighth graders prepared their reenactment of the Stations of the Cross, depicting what Catholics call the Passion of the Christ. The students acted out the Biblical account of Jesus Christ's journey in the days leading up to his death, resurrection and ascension.
The students demonstrated each scene that is illustrated in the Bible, from Jesus being captured in Jerusalem to the crucifixion and entombment.
