The stands at West Hempstead High School were packed last Saturday as fans cheered on the varsity football team as they dominated the competition.
The Rams defeated the North Valley Stream High School Spartans, 41-12, and since it was the annual "Jams the Stands" game they had quite the audience for their victory.
Perhaps, the Rams' stellar performance was powered by the added support of the pint-sized West Hempstead Broncos cheerleaders, who teamed up with the high school's varsity squad for some cheers.
Or it could have been the eight carries, totaling 128 yards, and three touchdowns scored by Tayvon Hall that day, the two rushing TDs by Bruce Gibbs, or the teams' combined 475 rushing yards, that fueled the win for West Hempstead, who is now 4-1 in their conference.
