'Tis the Season for Holiday Craft Fairs

St. Thomas holds annual craft fair. OLL's Christmas Boutique taking place Sunday.

If you're looking for something unique for the friends and family on your holiday shopping list, a local craft fair is a great alternative to the malls and chain stores.

St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in West Hempstead hosted its annual craft fair on Nov. 17, where dozens of vendors sold toys, handbags and handmade jewelry, hair accessories, home decor, ornaments, wreaths and more. Santa Claus also stopped by to meet with some of the local kids and find out what's on their Christmas lists this year.
