A new school year kicks offs today and tomorrow for public and private school students in Malverne, Lynbrook and West Hempstead, bringing with it new adventures, challenges and potential.

The first day of school was never complete in my family without posing for that traditional 'back to school' photo outside my house, armed with my new backpack and lunch box, ready to take on the world.
