Waverly Park Students Bedazzle Crowd in Aladdin

Students recently performed a musical version of the popular Disney film.

With the help of exotic sets, glittering costumes and creative imagination, the young thespians transported their audiences back in time to the days of the Arabian Nights for a musical magic carpet ride full of fantasy, love, betrayal, and the ultimate reaffirming triumph of good over evil.

The students, who gave the familiar Disney tunes a fresh new sound, had their audiences tapping along to “Arabian Nights,” “Friend Like Me” and “A Whole New World.”

Jackie Miller and Madeline Jabin once again teamed up as director and musical director. Choreographer Josie Sorbara also created the sets. Jim Locke designed the props.
