The entire fifth-grade class rolled
up their sleeves to help the student council at Lynbrook’s Waverly Park School
organize the annual Little Doctors Blood Drive.
Students prepared for weeks,
soliciting volunteers and creating flyers to promote the event.
On the big day,
fifth-graders, dressed in hospital scrubs, greeted donors, helped them with
paperwork, escorted them to each station and made sure they were replenished
with a healthy snack and a drink before they took their leave.
