West End School Presents 'Seussical Jr'

Students young bring beloved musical to life in all its fantastical, magical, musical glory.

Lynbrook audiences of all ages were dazzled and delighted by the West End
School Drama Club’s production of Suessical Jr.

With colorful sets and spirited singing and dancing, the young thespians brought this beloved musical to life in all its fantastical, magical, musical glory.

All of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat
in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and a tiny Who named Jojo came together to tell the story of Horton, who finds himself faced with a double challenge — to protect the invisible Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers while guarding Mayzie’s abandoned egg. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community emerge triumphant.

The show was directed by Donna Smith and Theresa Rein was the musical
director. Anthony Pedone was in charge of scenery and Rita Calhan handled costumes and props.
