Homecoming Parade Celebrates West Hempstead School Pride [Photos]

Photos of West Hempstead's 2012 homecoming festivities.

Ram Pride was very much alive Saturday afternoon was the West Hempstead and Island Park communities celebrated Homecoming 2012.

Students from Chestnut Street, George Washington, Cornwell Avenue schools, West Hempstead Middle School, Island Park's Lincoln Orens Middle School and West Hempstead High School marched down Roosevelt Street and Nassau Boulevard, proudly displaying their school's banners and Ram colors. The West Hempstead High School Marching Band provided the soundtrack for the festivities along with the Rams and Broncos cheerleaders.

West Hempstead High School's freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors showcased their creativity and incorporated some popular Television characters and themes into this year's floats.

Joining them in the parade were school board members, veterans from the local American Legion, the Lakeview and West Hempstead Fire Departments, and community groups.
